ABOUT THE GOLD MINE HOTEL

The Gold Mine Grill & Saloon was re-established in June of 2018. Since the 1960’s the building has always served as a restaurant, bar, or both. Kate Nelson was the original owner and built the place. It was called Kate’s Café. Following that, it has been called Killer’s, Rude Boys, Billy Bob’s, and Finally The Gold Mine when Peter Schott purchased it and brought in his protégé, Hal Christiansen and his wife Debbie. They purchased the Gold Mine right away from Chef Schott and operated until 2018 except a brief stint under contract.

“The Steve’s” and Ron purchased the Gold Mine and immediately began to renovate.  Today, the Gold Mine is Idaho City's hub for entertainment, good food, and good times.  The outside patio and stage is the perfect place to enjoy great whether, libations, and food.  Check our Facebook page for weekend music lineups.  Our newest venture is Bluegrass On The Mountain which will take place June 10th.  www.bluegrassonthemountain.com
